Rocky's Run for Freedom - May 23, 2026

Scouts and Parents,

Details for "Rocky's Run for Freedom" service project (Saturday 05/23/2026):

In support of one of our own, Troop 103 will man a water station for the race. Filling and passing out cups of water to the racers. We may even see some of our own scouts running in the race.

If you can make it, please wear your Class A and plan to meet by no later than 8:30am at the Mound Golf Course parking lot. Then we'll go up together and set up the water station on Vanguard Blvd.

Note that access is blocked off to Vanguard Blvd prior to the race so we have to meet and all go up together.

The race starts at 9:00am, we should be done by 10:30am, drop off will be at the golf course parking lot.

Cycling to Air Force Museum

Scouts and Parents,

Cycling trek on June 6, 2026

We are meeting at St. James at 7:30 AM on Saturday June 6. We are riding to the Air Force Museum, please provide your own lunch and drinks.

If you are going please have this permission slip and five dollars tonight.

Troop 103 T-Shirts and Sweatshirts

Scouts and Parents,

The 2026 Troop 103 T-Shirt order form is now available on the website.

We will need the orders and monies back to Mrs. Smith by June 1st, 2026 in order to have the shirts for summer camp. 

Finished product will be completed no later than June 15th. If you have any questions or concerns you can respond to Mrs. Smith via email or phone.

Memorial Day Parade

All,

I've been in contact with the Miamisburg Memorial Day Parade Chairman, Thom Pompos, and wanted to provide a brief update.

The parade starts at ~11 am after the ceremony on the Linden Ave bridge. Let plan on meeting between 10 and 10:30 am in the parking lot behind Bennett's Publical. We'll be leading the parade again, following the police cruiser. Scouts should wear their Class A uniform. Units should bring their unit flag and we'll also have the large American flag that multiple scouts can help carry in the parade.




The parade ends at Miamisburg Veteran's Park so I suggest parking there and walking to Riverfront Park.


I expect to hear more next week.
