Parkview Church is hosting its 124th annual election day dinner to help raise money for the Blessings in a Bag food program in Miamisburg. This program provided meals for students over the weekend, to ensure they are fed. The church physically packages and delivers these meals to Maddox Lang Preschool in Miamisburg.
Each year we ask for volunteers to help set up, serve guests, clean up tables, and serve food. We would love to have more scouts this year. If you have scouts who are interested in earning some community service credit, we could use help on Sunday, November 2nd from 7-8:30pm to set up the tables in our sanctuary and on Tuesday November 4th from 400pm to 9pm to take orders, serve meals, and bus tables. The scouts can work one hour or the whole time. Adults can also help serve meals in the kitchen or wash dishes (always welcome).
If you volunteer, you can purchase a greatly discounted meal for only $5.00. Dinner includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, cole slaw, your choice of pie, and a drink.
We currently have a few scouts from Troop 402 and Pack 402 signed up to help but we always need more.
