Swim Tests

Scouts and Parents,

Anyone planning to go to summer camp and/or kayaking/canoeing in July will need to pass the Scouts BSA swim test.

We will be conducting this test on Tuesday, June 16th at 7:30pm at the YMCA in Springboro.

Please bring $5.00 with you for admission if you are NOT a YMCA member.  There is also a waiver form to be completed. This form was attached to Dr. Burchett's email on June 10th to the entire Troop.

Costs (Youth):
Regular fee: $400 (due by April 30, 2026)
Late fee: $475 (if paid after April 30, 2026)

Activity Fee = $45

Regular fee: $250 (due by April 30, 2026)
Late fee: $300 (if paid after April 30, 2026)

Required:

Scouting America Medical Form (Part A, B, and C) - completed and submitted prior to departure

Meet:  Sunday, June 21, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at the Miamisburg Post Office parking lot - In Class “A” Uniform - Bring brown-bag lunch. Plan on leaving at 11:30 am.

 Return:  Saturday, June 28, 2026, 12:00 p.m. at St. James. Dismissal will be after the trailer(s) are unloaded and all equipment is put away.

 Tenting: Scouts & Adults are encouraged to bring their own tent. Canvas tents can be made available while limited supplies last.

Camperships: They should be filled out AFTER the Scout has been registered for camp. Please make sure that the name is listed exactly as it is in the registration. An email will be sent to the unit contact if approved, by mid to late April. Camperships Due March 31st!
